Other on team #639, Red B^2, from Ithaca High School and Cornell University. In Reply to: Worcester v. Rochester Posted by Lora Knepper on 2/9/2001 8:29 PM EST: Wait, wait, wait. Why go to RIT or WPI when you can go to Cornell! Here's a list of reasons: 1) It's easier to spell than Wista and Rochestah (excuse my accent, I was born in Wista.) 2) We have a FIRST robotics team 3) The school is not located in a town that contradicts the name of the school. 4) You don't get nearly as much snow as rochester or worcester. (no lake effect like rochester, or nor' easters like worcester). We currently have 0" 5) You get to run down a very steep hill like a madman whenever you want to visit the local high school (and they usually give us rides back up!) Patrick : Ok...so I may be going to RIT next year, but come on it's Worcester! *Everyone* should know that by now ;o) Besides, RIT isn't even IN Rochester...it's in Henrietta.... : ~ lora |
