Well, I found this link of Slashdot today about Spidergoats. It just reminded me of what our friends in Worchester were up to..... I guess we're gonna see some sort of genetically engineered 'bot then.

Matt who realizes he needs more sleep......

hahahaha... spellling.. so funny we were JUST discussing today how people spell Worcester like that!!

right now.. the hampsters are training in boot camp.. those 12 wheels are going to be tough work driving (ok.. only 10 are driven).. but still.. we need to make sure our little guys are prepared for the work and earn the fun time on the Hampster Playground (recently added: the Slip 'n Slide)

The SpiderGoat is well on it's way out of the farm and onto the big time... :-) This 'bot ain't made for grazing :-P

It's our tenth year in FIRST... the whole petting zoo has to take part.. it's not just about goats any more!

The hampsters are currently in the pressurization chamber learning how to deal with extreme pressure situations. Also today, we shall be putting through the g-test, to find out how many g's the little buggers will be able to take before they black out. may sound cruel to some, but we need to have the best of the best when it comes to hampsters. This is an elite team, they will be lethal come competition time!!!

Number one reason to go to RIT over WPI: Rochester is a lot easier to spell.

Ok, I can't spell. So sue me. Live in a town where the name is spelled phonetically and then you can complain.

Matt

Wait, wait, wait. Why go to RIT or WPI when you can go to Cornell! Here's a list of reasons:

1) It's easier to spell than Wista and Rochestah (excuse my accent, I was born in Wista.)
2) We have a FIRST robotics team
3) The school is not located in a town that contradicts the name of the school.
4) You don't get nearly as much snow as rochester or worcester. (no lake effect like rochester, or nor' easters like worcester). We currently have 0"
5) You get to run down a very steep hill like a madman whenever you want to visit the local high school (and they usually give us rides back up!)

Patrick

Hrm....let's take a look at the differences between Cornell and RIT again:

: Wait, wait, wait. Why go to RIT or WPI when you can go to Cornell! Here's a list of reasons:
: 1) It's easier to spell than Wista and Rochestah (excuse my accent, I was born in Wista.)

So shouldn't it be Cahnell?

: 2) We have a FIRST robotics team
So do we. Former National Champions too (1996).

: 3) The school is not located in a town that contradicts the name of the school.
We're in the Rochester metro area. Good enough for me. And if you really wanna know why we're in Henrietta as opposed to Rochester, it's because RIT used to be downtown and then the state wanted to put a highway through the campus. Oops.

: 4) You don't get nearly as much snow as rochester or worcester. (no lake effect like rochester, or nor' easters like worcester). We currently have 0"

Yeah, but cold without snow is wasted.

: 5) You get to run down a very steep hill like a madman whenever you want to visit the local high school (and they usually give us rides back up!)

We have no hills so there are no hills to walk up to get to class.

In addition to that Rochester has the garbage plate and an airport of significant size. :-p

as for the whole Rochester vs. Worcester, I'd have to say Worcester is better. I was at RIT last year, and transferred to WPI. Rochester is cool for the most part, hard to find things to do outside of school unless you want to drive some distance, but hey, what can you do. The weather is one thing i don't miss. Go to class over in Gleason with it sunny and in the 50's, come outside after class and have it snowed an inch and winds killing you at 25 degrees kinda sucks. Worcester there is some predictability. WPI rules though too.... RIT was fun too though.
