Wireless mode

Everything is hooked up according to the manual. The bridge is set to 10.21.97.1 and the router to 10.21.97.4. My laptop is 10.21.97.6. When we try to run it wirelessly, it doesn't get a signal. All the settings for the router and bridge are exactly how the manual describes. Is there a way to change the IP address of the driver station, or does it happen automatically? Any ideas?

Have you set your team # in the driver station?

Re: Wireless mode

Is the bridge set to connect to the router over the wireless?

Re: Wireless mode

What is not connecting? Is it the laptop or the game adapter on the robot?

Re: Wireless mode

This happened to us tonight...check ALL security settings on the router and game adapter and see what happens.

Re: Wireless mode

You do not need the drivers station number to be set to work wirelessly. However, the manual does skip a step in setting up the wireless connectivity. We, too, had trouble getting it to work wirelessly. Everything worked perfectly tethered, but we would set up for wireless and it did not work (seemed like router and gaming adapter were not communicating). I then started to mess around with the router...later found out that the router (at least ours did) came out of the box with WPA security enabled. If you disable that security, it will work perfectly. I don't think the manual mentioned anything about having security on or off, but I wouldn't think we would need the security. If we do need the security on, please someone reply and let me know...
