Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

We are using Labview and feel as though we are 4-5 weeks ahead of prior years. This program is simply amazing. Thanks for starting the poll (I didn't know how to do it).

Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

Team 2348 in Honolulu is using Wind River. We finally had a successful test of the sample codes (for the camera and teleop driving) yesterday.

Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

Team 537 is using C++.

The new Wind River update actually allows you to write C++ code that outputs to the LabVIEW dashboard project. This way, you have the complete versatility of C++ and the rapid and graphical debugging allowed by LabVIEW.

We are having large amounts of success in C++, and already have a working implementation using multiple tasks and a buffering system we created. Many thanks to the people at WPI for the critical region/mutex support.

Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

Team 1350 is using WindRiver/C++ for our main development, with our team starting to pick up LabVIEW by customizing the dashboard interface.

Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

Team 847 PHRED is using LabVIEW this year. All our experienced programmers wanted to use C++ (Wind River), but our mentors insisted we use LabVIEW. Needless to say, our experienced programmers found something else on the team to do this build.

Re: Can we start a poll to see what programming is being used?

For Team 1111, the senior programmers wanted to use C++, so C++ it is. We may use Labview for the dashboard.
