Unhappy Fisher Price Motor Help PLEASE!

I need to connect the fisher price motor to a gearbox like the AM planetary, but so far every thing I see requires modification. Is there some type of gearbox out there similar to the planetary gearbox that doesn't need ANY modification? If not, how the heck do I replace the pinion(I really don't want to though). Thanks for the help.

Try this thread as a start. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62016&highlight=fisher+price+pini on

We found a slotted steel bar, a pin punch which was ground off short and an arbor press with a BIG team member did the trick.

Does anyone know of a way to mount the motors without modification?

Re: Fisher Price Motor Help PLEASE!

If you want to mount and use these motors without any modifaction you will need to use the gearbox that comes with them. This can, and has, been used by many teams.

You will need to find some way of connecting/mating the small "fins" that are the output of this gearbox to whatever you want to turn...
I believe that the gearbox is in the 120:1 or so range so it has lots of torque.

You can get an adapter for the gearbox @

$4.25 74460-2249 - Power Wheels replacement wheel driver $ 4.25

I believe that this will work with the kit FOP gearbox...

They used to be included in the kit awhile back...

I hope this helps
