Problem uploading code from a VM

I have a Mac running an XP virtual machine (under VirtualBox, FWIW) which I use for my development. However, I've been unable to deploy code from WindRiver to the cRIO from this machine. I set the file to deploy, click deploy, and it shows a progress dialog which says something like Downloading Code...(Waiting). I've let it sit like this for a few minutes, but to no avail. I know it works because our programming mentor's Dell downloads the same code right away.

Also, I can debug code on my machine just fine. Everything seems to work but the deploy button...

Any ideas? Or am I just limited to having to use a real machine to download code?

Re: Problem uploading code from a VM

I use XP in a Virtual PC VM for all coding this year, and it works flawlessly.

The FIRST downloader using different configuration data than debugging. If you open the Preferences window, select FIRST Downloader from the tree, and change the team number and file to the correct ones it should work.

Hmmm....I'm 99% sure those settings are correct. Especially because I can undeploy code from my box. I'll give it a look tonight when I've got access to the cRio.

If is still doesn't work, I'd say you need to check you firewalls, on both the physical and virtual machines, but I assume you already did this.

Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

Are you reseting the cRIO after deploying?

Re: Problem uploading code from a VM

Ok...

I have allowed everything that Windows firewall popped up a message about. I'll go ahead and turn my firewall off entirely, though.

I am resetting the cRio every time I try to download something. The strange thing is that I can download code to debug it from the RAM, just not deploy...
