Thats a helix fo sho. The question is, does it bring the balls down or does it bring them up like an auger? I'm gonna guess bringing them down.

It doesn't have to be an auger to move balls up. Motion is relative to the frame of reference. ;-)

Helical ball hopper, similar to 233 in 2006 is my guess.
