Go to Post Robotics competitions take place in the same "perfect" environment that basic physics equations take place in. - Branden Ghena [more]

**FIRST EMAIL**/Awards and Judges Information

Greetings Teams:
Awards Submissions:

FIRSTAwards.org is now open for submissions for the Chairman’s Award, Website Design Award, and the Woodie Flowers Award.

Teams wanting to submit for the Autodesk Awards must do so via FIRSTbase at
http://firstbase.autodesk.com/.

Judges' Information

The Judge's Information Section in the Team Information Management System (TIMS) is your opportunity to share valuable information about your team with FIRST.

The Additional Team Info and Team Essays sections are used by the Judges at the Regional and Championship Events to learn about your team's history, goals, strengths and the challenges it may have overcome. Judges take this information into consideration, along with the interviews done in the Pit, when making decisions about team awards. We encourage you all to complete this section.
The Judges ask that you include a photo of your robot here. Not only does this help the judges to remember your team during the discussions, we may use the robot photos you submit for the Awards Ceremonies.

The Judges Information section is open until February 18, 2009 11:59 EST. This deadline is after robot ship date so that teams have the opportunity to take a photo of their robot to add to the Judges Information Section.

Finally, the Team School Demographics section helps FIRST track important statistics about your team. This information is not printed in the Judges books or used by the Judges for award determination, but it assists in FIRST's efforts to collect team data and better understand our participant groups. We thank you all for taking the time to fill this section out.

Tip!Remember to check the Calendar of Important Deadlines for all award deadlines and submission information at http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=454.
Go Teams!
