Goal balancing abilities

I was wondering how many teams out there are capable of balancing two goals on the ramp. I know we were able to fairly easily and wanted to know how many other teams could. We've made some improvements and modifications to our robot that we hope will make this task even easier, though we haven't tested them yet.

We can balance both goals, but we do it from off the bridge, will that pose a difficulty with you placing a large ball on top? Do you need to be holding them to put the ball there, or can you do it ahead of time. If we ever are in a round together it would be nice to know.

We can place the big ball on top anytime. Well, we haven't tested it with the goal on the ramp and us off, but theoretically we should be able to do it. How long does it take you to balance the goals from off the ramp?

I would say, being very pessimistic, 20 seconds to balance both. As in about 5 seconds to lift the goal to level and 5 to balance each. But in reality it will be closer to 10-15 secs. one goal should always be filled at the player station while the other teams get across, so if with 13 balls in the first goal, and your big ball, both on the goal, and four robots in the end zone... 63*4=252 and any time mulipliers, and I think the X1.5 is almost a given. So a score of 378, plus 6*any other balls in the opposite goal or a stretcher, is a pretty good score I would say. We will have a couple days of testing saturday and sunday and Ill be much more sure of my times after then. This is all so exciting.
Andy

we can do two goals pretty quickly with great reliability. our robot stays on the ramp, which may help keep the goals stable for ball placement.

our ideal partner would be able to place a big ball with the goal already on the ramp.

We can do it! At least in theory. We'll find out saturday when we actually get to see a playing field Thank you team 145 (if anyone from 145 sees this) for inviting us over!
