[FTC]: PTC ProE Part Files
I hope it was an oversight and that they plan on remedying the fact that the .prt files they have made available are incompatible with the other 2 major 3d players namely SolidWorks and Inventor. I see a lot of rhetoric on the net re: making conversion of ProE .prt files to SolidWorks an easy native translation?
Why make the student version different than what is available to professionals is in my mind counterproductive. Both other platforms give the best they got to education, in my opinion a very commendable perspective. Why deny FTC teams that use other 3d apps the part models? I hope someone from PTC could respond to this query. |
