TechnoKART Unvieled: 2 robots in one!
Posted by Andy Baker at 02/21/2001 10:34 PM EST
Engineer on team #45, TechnoKats, from Kokomo High School and Delphi Automotive Systems. Here is a description of configuration #2, shorty: 1. Grabs two goals and auto-balances 2. Goes under center barrier with ease (metal treads that do not damage the carpet). 3. (Power and speed) 4. Bridge raise & lower mechanism 5. A landing deck for giving robots free "KART" ride into the end zone. Here is the link: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/cgi/pictu...&id=79 Andy B. |

Posted by Andy Baker on 02/21/2001 10:34 PM EST: You'd think that after 3 (or so) years of posting on this site, I'd figure it out by now. Anyhow, I just wanted to publicize our robot. In order to change between these two configurations, we will only need 1 or 2 minutes. Our forte will be traction, speed, and balancing... no matter if we have an arm or not. If there is another dependable balancer within our alliance, we can turn into a ball scorer. Here is another picture of "shorty", this time in the start position: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/cgi/pictu...&id=80 Andy B. |
