Beach Bot, Team 330 picture

Posted by Joe Ross at 02/22/2001 3:27 AM EST

Engineer on team #330, Beach Bot, from Hope Chapel Academy and NASA/JPL , J&F Machine, and Raytheon.

We have two goal grabbers that don't need to be perfectly aligned to grab the bar, and we can grab the goals at full speed (no stopping to wait for another device to clamp)

We can balance those two goals fairly quickly (and it will only get shorter as the drivers get more practice)

We can handle two big balls, and place them after we have grabbed the goals. We can also place one ball from the floor after another team has balanced the goals.

Any questions?

Very nice Joe. We expected a great entry by the Beach Bots, and you have delivered
(obvious by the picture, but word of mouth from the weekend was quite impressive also)
We can't wait to compete with you again - and are thrilled that our teams are in all the same events this year.
Tell Rob, Kris, & the gang hi - see you in LA in 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like SoCal regional is going to be pretty exciting.

GRT will also be attending SoCal regional with our robot. See you all in LA in 3 weeks.

Most excellent turret feature.

I am sure you will be a very competitive robot.

Joe J.

By the way, wasn't it nice this year to be able to design stuff on your robot that didn't have to be "combat worthy"? All you had to do was be able to do the task you set out to do without worrying about what you would do if someone tipped you over or ran into you at full speeed. It was very refreshing. Thoughts? JJ
