Upbeat... like Flight of the Bumble Bee? or the William Tell Overture? or The Washington Post? or Copeland's Rodeo? or the theme from the Lost in Space movie? or the Jetsons theme? or the drum solo from Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida? or ... ?

Diversity is good.

Please do not play the Hamster Dance. It has been overly played at every major robotics competition since the song's conception.

Re: Music Ideas To Get the Crowd Excited

I think in the past the DJs had an approved list of songs that could be played at an event; you might want to look at that list. You wouldn't want to offend anyone. If a song can't be played on the radio, it probably shouldn't be played in the pits.

Re: Music Ideas To Get the Crowd Excited

There is only one song that ever gets me excited, and it is The Final Countdown by Europe. After I hear that song, I could run a marathon, beat Michael Phelps in the 200M Butterfly, fight 10 men and compete in a robotics competition. They could just play that song on repeat and I might just explode from having so much adrenaline.

"Robot Rock" by Daft Punk
"Guitar vs Piano 1.2" by Goukisan
"Ubersmach" by Angerfist (has one piece of profanity)
"Dota" by Basshunter
"Russian Privjet" by Basshunter
"Genesis" by Justice
"Out of Control" by Hoobastank
"Faint" by Linkin Park

That's all that I could think of now, but I probably have some more...
