Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.

At the risk of becoming tedious, what else goes on that frame? Clearly there is no provision for bumpers to be attached to a solid portion of the bumper perimeter in the pieces shown here.

Gary, I'm sure that 60 has already thought of that. Otherwise, I'd have brought it up yesterday. My guess is that they'll run "removable" frame down the outside, with attachments to the standoffs.

Re: pic: 60's 2009 robot.

It almost looks like a four wheel drive set up with front wheel steering, but it sure is hard to tell in that picture! I guess I'll know when I see it in person at the AZ regional... and hopefully it will be all sorts of pretty colors by then, too.

Do what? Could you please try to make your posts a little more relevant? You haven't added much content to the multiple threads in which you have posted today. You might re-read the rules of the forum.

I know back when I was on team 60 (~5 years ago) the students made most of the parts, the exceptions being complicated parts and welding. I'm sure that is still the case.

Team 60- Looks interesting, can't wait to see it in action. Good Luck

This frame is similar to ours.
I am guessing that we were thinking along the same lines; a removable outer solid portion that allows us to swap out wheels easily if necessary.
5n1p3r,
It certainly isn't impossible for students to do, especially the welding.
