Re: cRIO configuration issue- serial connection to laptop
We plugged in our null modem to the cRIO, ran Hyperterm on the PC with COM1: 9600,8,n,n as you suggest with the console dipswitch set to ON and it worked first time. Ensure your serial port is enabled in the BIOS, enabled in Device Manager and no one has tinkered with the IRQ's etc.
I would also recommend testing with another PC. Tony, 1711 Raptors
