I have been told (by two people who should know) that the LA regional has room for 60 teams. Considering that the number of teams allowed to register is only 45, I beleive that there are spots being help open. Whether this is happening at all the regionals, I don't know.
There are no free spots left at any regional as of 3:15 EDT.
