=========STRATEGY PROBLEM #5==========
Posted by Anton Abaya at 02/24/2001 3:41 AM EST
Coach on team #419, Rambots, from UMass Boston / BC High and NONE AT THE MOMENT! .Robots A, B, C and D on the playing field. A can go under the bar and pull and push 2 goals. B needs the bridge but can pick up 2 big balls on it own. It uses its arms to pull the bridge down. C needs the bridge as well and can pull and push 2 goals. D neesd the bridge and has one big arm for picking up balls (1 at a time) and uses the same mechanism to push 1 goal onto the bridge to balance it. -- robot A and C have the same function but the one that goes over the bridge does it a little faster than the smaller robot that can go under. Robot D takes them 15secs to put a ball on top of the goal, while Robot B takes 25 secs to put both balls on both goals. --- what's your best strategy? post your scores! -anton |
