Practice Field

Anyone have any clue as to how the practice field will be set up? Extra regolith somewhere? An extra trailer to practice scoring on? X amount of orbit balls? Will there even BE a practice field. Any and all information would be a help; one of the other kids and I were talking about and though it's not a big deal, it's certainly interesting to think about.

The existence and/or quality of practice fields will vary from regional to regional. Your best source of information on a regional is the FIRST Regional Director for your regional.

In the case of the Long Island event that would be Janet Anderson. Go here for contact info.

A word of caution, these people are incredibly busy right now and they have much bigger problems than convincing you that the practice area they have planned for will meet your needs.

That being said, if you send them a short and meaningful question regarding your event, you will almost always get a short and meaningful answer.

For the Palmetto regional (Clemson, SC) they are are going to have a full size practice field outside under a tent. They are borrowing the field from Atlanta.
