Re: 1557 working "thresher"
My question is, are you planning to ever dump in the corner? It seems like it could be kind of slow if you're hoping to be able to do that. Not that it's a bad thing, just an interesting thought (in my head at least) on the general Archimedes screw/ thresher idea.
Looks like it should be good.. see you on the field at Florida. -Greg |

Re: 1557 working "thresher"
If I had to guess, it's one of the window motors. It's too quiet for any other motor, and the speed seems about right.

Re: 1557 working "thresher"
Are you worried at all that with so many balls being held at one time in your system (which is a great accomplishment) but are you worried that when these balls are broken, they will clog or jam your system up? I was just wondering if any teams were thinking about this...
Thanks and nice job so far and best of luck for future regionals! |

Re: 1557 working "thresher"
Same question as Craig, what motor is powering that baby. Might want to use a cim with a reduction on it.

Re: 1557 working "thresher"
I heard from one of their mentors (my dad) that it is a Keyang.

Re: 1557 working "thresher"
its a keyang, we needed the cims for other "things"
as for the balls being broken, it shouldent effect it at all, a couple of the balls we have are broken too and they work fine ![]() dumping in the corner should be just the same as shooting into a trailor,(we may not even do it all) and if we had to(broken shooter) we could just reverse the "thresher" Last edited by gorrilla : 31-01-2009 at 08:04. |
