Great info! Our homemade orbit balls are also much stiffer than the regulation ones. They behave quite differently in our scoring mechanism as a result. We will look into polypropylene for any more balls we try to make.
By the end of the year, I have a feeling that I'm going to know much, much more about the intricacies of orbit balls than I ever wanted to.
