Mysterious error message

Title says it all. We're using 8.5 LABView and cRIO image 11. We don't know if we have the most up to date WPI library because we don't know how to check how up to date it is, so that may be the problem (even if its not, if you can tell us how to check that anyway, that'd be great thanks.)

The screenshot of the error is atached.

Re: Mysterious error message

try re-flashing the system. Be sure to do a full power-down and power up of the cRio afterwards and see if it persists. Let us know.

We did re-flash the the cRIO and the and did a complete power down. Then powered it back up and the same problem persists.

Re: Mysterious error message

A general cause of strange error messages is that you have re-imaged the cRIO with a newer image without also updating the PC software as well.

I'm familiar with this in WindRiver and not LabVIEW, so YMMV.

Re: Mysterious error message

Are you switching between windriver and LabVIEW? I'm wondering if a C++ program is still running.

You can verify the LabVIEW version by going to Help->About FIRST Robotics Competition Software.

See the following post on the FIRST forums for different ways to verify the image version: http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=10811 I think the FRC Diagnostic Tool might do it too.

We have the latest version of labview and the cRIO image. WindRiver has not been installed at all on the computer. We download the separated files on the WPI website.

If you are using LabVIEW and not using windriver, why did you download files from WPI?

Can you describe everything you downloaded, what you installed (and in what order) and what you uploaded to the cRIO, etc.

As this is a fairly esoteric error, you would probably get a better response on the FIRST control system forums or the NI FIRST community. However, they'll probably want to know the same information.
