Multiple Robot Signal lights?
I posted this on the US FIRST Q&A but have not seen a response from the GDC yet...
This year our robot is going to resemble a certain animal (part of our team motif) and the head portion where our moon rock shooter is situated will rotate. We would like to place two signal lights on the head to resemble eyes. One of these would be visible at all times from the front as the head rotates but I did not see anything in the rule book disallowing the use of two signal lights this year. Has anyone seen a ruling on this? Thanks |

Re: Multiple Robot Signal lights?
Regardless of what rulings are made, you can only safely power one RSL per DSC. If you attach two, you will run the risk of drawing too much current and having the current limiter shut down the circuit. This would shut off the RSL, which could lead people to believe the robot is disabled when it is enabled.
No damage to the robot will occur, but it is an unsafe situation. If the GDC allows you to have two RSLs (foshizzle), you must use two DSCs. |

I would guess that another slot also gets the RSL signal, but I'm not sure which one. |
