Hope you have NOT grooved the slick wheel surface to accept the belt and pulley which the picture seems to suggest... or is this not a robot drive wheel assembly?
Hopefully there is clearance as Eric points out? As I read the rules, the SURFACE of a driving/propulsion robot wheel may NOT be modified as this changes the coefficient of friction of that driven wheel.
