crio

I still cannot connect to the crio device to update the firmware. I can ping the device. and am using the crossover directly from my computer. It doesnt show up in the remote systems of the measurement and automation explorer. I have verifyed the firewall is disabled and not using wireless. any more suggestions...

You don't use the crossowver to anything but the camera to cRIO. Try a normal one, or use the bidge (which you should use)

That is not correct.

When updating firmware it is best to directly connect the cRio to your PC, and you will need a crossover cable to make this connection.

To answer the original question, make sure to set you PCs Ip address to 10.0.0.6 subnet 255.0.0.0. If this is already configured correctly it should work. You should also be using the imaging tool provided by FIRST.

Re: crio

I am using a crossover and my pc IP address is 10.0.0.6 subnet 255.0.0.0

but still cant connect using the imaging tool. Ping is good as long as I use crossover.

You'll probably want to contact NI tech support about this. They should be able to help.

You could try connecting a console cable to the serial port, and seeing if the cRio is booting correctly, but unless you've looked at the boot data from it before you probably won't have any luck diagnosing it.
