We are having a problem with our Driver Station. Out of the box, the left button was stuck in the "pressed" position and requires assistance to pop up. In fact, it requires a tap on the button to get it to come up.
Secondly, and more importantly, the units screen lights up when powered but does not boot...No graphics or text display on the screen? Any suggestions? Dead DS? Thanks, Tony D. - FRC Team #203 |

Re: Dead Driver Station?
If it doesn't just plug in and power up, its bad. At this point the clock is ticking so I'd recommend getting a replacement ASAP.

Re: Dead Driver Station?
There haven't been any more replies, so maybe you've solved your issue, but if you haven't...
We managed to break our screen last night- dropped a metal file on the screen and cracked it. Anyway, after opening the unit, we discovered that it's made by Kwikbyte. Called them, and they gave me a Digikey part number- 73-1285. Maybe this will help you out. Prices are reasonable- $26. Good Luck G |

Re: Dead Driver Station?
Be advised that team repaired controls components are not allowed to be used in competition under <R59> (http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=11816).
I do not necessarily agree but that's the rule. Sorry, Mike |
