Hi Murthy,

There are two ways to do this.

While in Assembly, you can select the component in the model tree and click the Right Mouse Button and choose activate. This will activate the part as if you where working on it by itself. You can add new features and edit existing features as you do in part mode. Give that a try. The nice thing about doing this in the assembly level is you can see how things interact with one another when making a change. When you are finished, click the assembly from the model tree and activate it via the right mouse button option.

Otherwise, select the component form the model tree and click the right mouse button and select Open. This will open the part in a new window.
