Breaking the bumper perimeter

It's down to the last two days before ship and we are having a problem with our ball gathering system and trying multiple different alterations to make it work, but one of the problems is trying to fit everything into our space without breaking the bumper perimeter. Even if we broke the bumper perimeter we would still be within the 28" x 38" perimeter, is it possible to be legal to break the bumper perimeter by an inch if you are still within the maximum dimensions???

No it's not.

I'll look up the specific rule and get back to you.

Re: Breaking the bumper perimeter

It is never legal to break the bumper perimeter. However, if you're still within max dimensions even while breaking your current perimeter, you could just attach some lightweight tubing to the outside of your frame and extend your bumper perimeter so that you never break it.

It's <R16> in most of the later versions of the Manual (I have Rev. H). Update #1 added the prevention to the rule.

The one on the far, far left, or the one in the middle, or the ones on the right that are sitting there laughing? The ones other than the far, far left one have a lot more to fix than just a bumper perimeter...
