Setting speed values for a set more block (was: Hi)

Hi, ok this seems pretty dumb, and i'm sure there are other posts like this one out there, but how can i set a value for half speed on a set more block in Labview. I know the -1 is full out forward and 1 is full out backwards and i can do this, but when i try to put -1 for full speed and -.5 for half speed it won't let me do this. Any suggestions???

Re: Hi

Do you mean you can't enter in the number 0.5? It may be because the control is an integer. You may want to change it to a single or double float. It is set in the Representation item on the menu.

Re: Setting speed values for a set more block (was: Hi)

One other thing to note is that if you are using arrow buttons (increment / decrement buttons) on a numeric indicator, they sometimes are set to increment and decrement by 1. You can change this behavior by

1. right clicking the indicaotr (or control) on the front panel and selecting Data Entry... (VI must not be running).

2. Turn off the Use Default Limits

3. Change the increment to 0.5 (or whatever you like)

Coerce will round values to the nearest increment value. This holds for keyboard entered values as well as increment/decrement buttons.
