Exclamation Power distribution board does not give power to access point

As many of you know today is the day the robot ships. Unfortunately, when we came in today we were experiencing a problem with the power distribution board. It will not give the 12V power to the access point that is needed at J24. We are fairly certain that we will not be getting power out of this port anytime soon. Is it against the rules for us to plug the access point into a VB3 breaker output on the power distribution board in order to get power to the access point?

Re: Power distribution board does not give power to access point

You do not want to do this, if everything else on your PD board seems to work OK and you're sure you're not getting any power out of the Wireless Bridge connector, you should get a replacement for your PD board to install at competition.

Powering the Wireless Bridge off of one of the unregulated connections may result in bridge resets causing your robot to lose communication with the field.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. We appreciate your advice and we will look into acquiring a new power distribution board.

Re: Power distribution board does not give power to access point

Can you please post to the http://forums.usfirst.org/forumdisplay.php?f=743 a more complete description of the failure mode? We would like to diagnose it so that we can ensure it doesn't happen again.
