Wow! That looks very good for a rookie team.. compared to what my team had last year as rookies

Well, while the zip ties are totally awesome, you guys should consider on getting that robot together without that many zip ties, perhaps next year =]

Re: pic: Rookie Team 2827 - Crown City Robotics 2009 Robot

Congratulations on your first FIRST robot!

You are right, it does look very cool!

One word of advice before you arrive at your first tournament - you may want to look at your bumper configuration. "U" shaped bots will have a significant time meeting the rules regarding how the bumpers are configured. The back segment, which will have to have the the trailer hitch, will also, at each of the back corners, have a minimum 6" bumper segment. The picture does not seem to support that requirement.

If it doesn't - you will need to fix that before the competition. Many robots that had that issue made the following modification - they "square" the back up, so they can meet the bumper requirements.

Take a look at this thread for a discussion on that issue!

If you do have a problem, you still have time to prepare a fix, and then bring that fix with you to the tournament!

Best of luck at your competition!

Steve
