[FTC]: Georgia FTC Championship

Congratulations to all 28 teams for successfully competing and succeeding in yesterday's Georgia FTC Championship. It was wild and fun day and ran a little long because we wanted to get in a full 8-team alliance selection in. We did and it was well worth it. We had some very exciting matches. Here are the results of the competition.

Connect Award - Team #560 - RoboStallions (TEACH HS; Alpharetta, GA)
Innovate Award - Team #2908 - Raising Corn to the Power of 3 (Huntland, TN)
PTC Design Award - Team #2981 - GSMST Echo (Gwinnett School of Math Science and Technology; Duluth, GA)
Think Award - Team #1002 - CircuitRunners (Wheeler HS; Marietta, GA)

Competition Finalists
Team #2961 - Mecha-C'thulu (Community Team; Dunwoody, GA)
Team #1848 - SOUP (Georgia Robotics Alliance; Marietta, GA)
Team #675 - GSMST Alpha (Gwinnett School of Math Science and Technology; Duluth, GA)

Competition Champions
Team #2981 - GSMST Echo (Gwinnett School of Math Science and Technology; Duluth, GA)
Team #710 - Twisted Metal/Salty Dogs (Cherokee Christian HS; Woodstock GA)
Team #3325 - Clarke Central (Clarke Central HS; Athens, GA)

Inspire Award - Team #710 - Twisted Metal/Salty Dogs (Cherokee Christian HS; Woodstock GA)

A very big thank you to all my volunteers that kept things on schedule and moving throughout the day and to my wonderful planning committee and organizers: Mary Roberts (Judge Advisor), Ray Spurlin (Head Referee), Robert May (Lead FTA), Kathleen Simpson (Volunteer Coordinator), and Steve Roberts (A/V lead and person that does it all without being asked).

It was a great tournament, a great game, and a great season. Good luck to all the teams at Championships - I'll see you there.
