Help for Team at San Diego Regional

To All Teams and Volunteers that are attending the San Diego Regional!

We are helping to mentor the Brazilian rookie team FRC 3032. They are attending the SD Regional. They have a robot, they have plane tickets, but they need accommodations.
We are going to do a part of this by getting some extra space at our hotel.

But the problem is that, they are arriving on March 2nd and we won't get there until March 4th. They need some combination of hotel rooms and homestays to supplement the help we provide in San Diego from March 2nd through 8th.

They are a relatively small group. I am trying to get the breakdown of attending adults, students, and their genders. Once I have this info, I will pass this information on to interested teams.

This sounds like a great plan. I would suggest in addition to contacting Dave Berggen to visit the Team San Diego Google Group and spread the word there.

I have an apartment nearby that could hold a few people in the living room, but I would have to clear it with my roommates.

I will start making contacts as soon as I know more about the composition and size of the group. In the meantime, if people would like to express a preliminary interest in volunteering, via PM or posting, that would be great.

Also if you want to make contacts through other means on behalf of this team and then get back to me that would also be helpful.

Here is the breakdown for the Brazilian Team, FRC 3032.

1 male adult
1 female adult
5 Male students
2 female students

Arriving on March 3rd
Leaving on March 8th

If anyone is interested in establishing a homestay or has extra hotel space please let me know. We will obviously contribute hotel space to this as well. But we can't be there to greet or house them on March 3rd.

Dave and I have already been in contact with the Regional Director and the team. We have several parents who are working on finding accommodations for the entire team for their stay in San Diego.

We did this last year with team 1998 from Michigan, so this shouldn't be a problem for us.
