Not this year, but chances are that next year we will.
We did fool around with the program a lot this year. You can see some of the stuff I did at the link below.

Our animator's computer somehow got a virus and decimated all the files and deleted most of our animation project...so it seems like we wont be able to compensate for the loss data. It sucks major...cuz we also didn't finish our Chairman's Award either in time,

Five days ago, I accidentally deleted the entire directory where I had stored every file we had created for our animation. That's when I bit the bullet and bought a file restoration utility for $40. Luckily, I was able to restore everything I lost.

Recovery from a virus is usually more difficult, if not infeasible, since the virus often corrupts the data. I think we all learned a valuable lesson, eh? Backing up data is key.

I also hit save every 10 seconds as well because the teacher keeps drilling it into our heads and it's become almost like breathing. I keep like 90 copies of our files after the project is finished for events liek that

My team did the animation, our storyline involved King Arthur and the knights of the alliance table whom were enforcing gracious professionalism . Our animation team was up all hours of the night getting it done, but it was finished and sent thank goodness! Sadly this year we did not get a chance to complete a chairmans award, hopefully next year!

Our team (#535) did an animation.
Since our robot is called Viking I, we did a Martian landing.
A big thank you and a well done goes out to Scott Klaus who did the animation. He learned the animation and Inventor software from scratch and produced a great looking video.
With the computer we got (antique) it took 10 hours to render.
We got it mailed out Tuesday (hope it gets there).

Here's a frame from our animation, which you can download from our site in DivX format (5 MB). It's titled "Vigilae: Infectus". Hint: "infectus" is latin for "incomplete".
