Playing to win
I came across an interesting article that I think has relevance here: Playing to win. It talks about competition and competitive playing. Even if you don't agree with the article, or don't think it applies to FIRST, I still encourage you to think about it and discuss it.
 Personally I try my hardest to win on the field (within the rules), and off the field I try to be helpful to people who need help.
