Re: Where Are You Volunteering?

I just finished volunteering @ the Connecticut Regional. I was field Set-up, take-down & FTAA. This is my 1st major FIRST event!

I have been field set-up, take-down, field reset & whatever else needs to be done @ the Suffield Scrimmage, AKA Suffield Shakedown since the 02-03 season.

Volunteered for the CT FFL Regional @ Lego in Enfield, CT for several years.

For those who went to CT, all you have to do is watch for the guy with the Indiana hat & dances a lot, I still can't compete w/dancing Dave the Ref.... Look for me next year, I'm hooked!

Re: Where Are You Volunteering?

Tricounty Tech FLL Regional, South Carolina - MC
FLL State Tournament, South Carolina - MC
Clemson FRC Kickoff - Controller Intro/Training
Palmetto Regional - cRio Support Person
Championship FTC - MC

I've volunteered for many roles over the years, queuing, spare parts, inspector, Field attendant, Announcer, pit announcer, take down,...

FIRST is a great program and I'll do whatever I can to make sure this thing continues. If I can help anyone with anything related to FIRST, let me know! I'll check my calendar and see where I can fit it in! (Within travel restrictions )

So far I've been as far as VCU to the north, Epcot to the South and Huston/Austin TX West for FIRST. Oh yeah, I visited Dean's house once! Cool place, you gotta go if you get the chance.

I strongly disagree, and would start telling you why, but it would turn into a rant and I don't think I want to get into that right now.

More on topic,
Does anyone know when we get official jobs assigned for champs? I'm just excited and was wondering if anyone was already given positions because I haven't got any word yet.
