You aren't going to get the right distance without a very good feedback system.

Things that will affect you.

Temperature of CIM.
Victor or Jaguar Quality
Battery Voltage
Chain/Belt Resistance
Wheel Slippage
Metal Binding
other problems.

I suggest that you do not try and make an autonomous code that goes exactly the right distance. Make a code that puts the robot at least 5 feet past your target.
