Re: 2009 Wisconsin Regional

I'll do my best for predictions.

Lets see, 93, 269, and 537 have been repping the Wisconsin teams very well for longer then I've been here. This year should be no different

In the past few years, we've seen the emergence of a few new contenders. 2062 CORE Robotics has had an impressive showing in 2008 and there's no doubt in my mind they will be good this year. 2194, the Fondy Fire is also a contender. They have been impressive ever since they were rookies.

Now you can't forget to mention the good ol home teams of 1732 and 1714. 1714 was regional chairman winners last year and they are sure to impress. 1732 has a competitive bot and looks to make a run into the elims like they did at MWR.

2/3 of the MWR finalists team are here. 2338 and 2039. 2338 is one tough robot and can hold their own with anyone

2/3 of the champs from MWR are here too, 1625 and 1675. Everyone's heard the hype about 1625 and they probably have the biggest bullseye on their back coming in.

2022 is coming off a great MWR too. They made it to the semi's off their solid defense and fantastic human player. No robot is safe with 20 seconds left in the game and their hp has a supercell.

1024 looks to rebound from MWR. If they are the kilobytes of the past, we know they will improve tenfold and show their form from 2008.

I'm glad to see 1816 is back too. They were part of the 2006(I think) winning alliance in Wisco, look out.

1736 Robot Casserole consistently have cool bots. Glad to see theyre making the trip too. They are definately near the top my scouting list from previous years expieriences

And everyone remember to give the 2437 Lancer Robotics a warm welcome. They are making the trip from Hawaii. They'll need all the warmth they can get getting used to the brutal Wisco winters.

I'm sure I could go on and on but here are my real predictions. After qualification matches, the seeding will look like this

1.1625
2.93
3.2062
4.1024
5.2338
6.269
7.1732
8.1259

WI should be interesting.
Good luck all teams.

//edit Bigboom beat me to some of it =]
I'm going to guess the finals will be won by the 3rd seed.
