1249 and 337 will load the trailer after school today and leave after school tomorrow for the 5 hour trip. Can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones. Stop by our pits and talk robots. If anyone needs any help or parts, let us know. See everyone Thursday morning

There's no shortage of free time to invent things when you aren't too busy winning Super Bowls.

(Even Google wouldn't know a "Cleveland-style sandwich" if it saw one. We get the credit, and that's all that matters.)

Primanti was born in Cleveland. Hmm. But the sandwiches are good regardless of where they were invented.

I was going to caution visitors about not stepping in the "Sixburgh" rhetoric while in town (especially from the youngins who weren't alive when Pittsburgh won 66% of those SB's....). It appears my caveats were justified.

Just stick to robots! For the love of Pete, do not ask the locals about football! Match turn times will swell to 30 minutes or more while you wait for Steeler fans to stop talking. Just mention the Pirates, and they'll move on.

Sincerely,

A Cleveland fan who lives at the battleground that is the midpoint between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Re: Pittsburgh Regional

Looks like there will be yet another Lunacy champion coming to Philly this year in 222! What a field that's going to be...

And as for 1218, I'm so proud of you! From using hockey sticks to windshield scrapers, you guys have some of the best and most outside the box ideas every season. You definitely deserved to step back into the winner's circle!

On behalf of team 1743, I'd like to thank 222 and 1218 for being absolutely amazing partners. We had a fantastic run, and we're looking forward to seeing you all in Atlanta.

Congratulations to 3062 for winning Rookie All-Star. You'll do a great job representing Pittsburgh at the championship.

More importantly, the mentors from 1218 were more than willing to spend a great deal of time helping teams with Labview and were instrumental in getting one of the rookie teams to mechanically pass inspection. I had to call on Peter their programming mentor a few times to assist teams with LabView issues I couldn't resolve.

Major kudos to you on not only an excellent, solid robot, but for being a great example of GP in a regional that definitely needed a helping hand getting robots moving on the field!

Re: Pittsburgh Regional

I wanted to thank all the Pittsburgh Regional volunteers, especially the technical support personnel, who kept the event right on schedule, if not AHEAD of schedule. Other events should emulate your methods.

Congrats to 222 on their first regional win, and kudos to 1218 for their Hoover of a robot - you earned the Mega-Maid award for the Pittsburgh event, hands down.

1629 - thanks for picking us and 1249 to be a part of your alliance. It was fun while it lasted. Congratulations also on earning the Engineering Inspiration Award. I always like it when teams who did not submit Chairman's at an event win this award, as it reaffirms to all that EI is not meant to be 2nd place Chairman's. Keep up the great work.

1743 - From 18 lbs. over weight on Thursday to regional champions - what a ride, eh? Your perseverance is commendable.

379 - thanks for being a great team filled with special students and mentors. Keep on truckin', and good luck at Chesapeake next week!

2901 - congrats on making the eliminations for the first time in your young existence, and great job on earning the Rookie Inspiration award. Keep building upon this early success, and you'll go far. All the NEOFRA teams have much to be proud of this season.
