Congratulations team 1511 on you Web site and Imagery awards, I have been a fan of your website and team for many years. Some teams think that since they can they should. But when it comes to websites, that isn't always the best way to design. I love your site the way it is. I also feel thier is a national chairmans award in your near future. Way to be great ambassadors of FIRST.

Congratulations to 1511 on winning Chairman's! Good Luck in Atlanta!
Also special congrats to 1626 Falcon Robotics and 229 Division By Zero on being formidable quarterfinalists!
[QF 2-2 was a HUGE UPSET]
It was awesome to see both teams working together again, similar to FLR.

2199 would like to thank 40 and 134 for being excellent alliance partners.

Congratulations to 2866 for rising from the ashes of Thursdays troubles and becoming a fantastic defensive specialist and evading major dumpings. Have fun in Atlanta!

Also, congrats to the regional champions. Every match was a nail biter with you guys.

This really was a cool story. Their robot and machining equipment got destroyed in some flooding one week before ship date. Local teams pulled together to help them get on their feet, but even then they spent 11 hours on Thursday with the help of several other teams getting their bot to pass inspection.

Their little flat bot was a speedy bugger, and played a mean defensive game, earning them a rank of 3 in the quals. They picked their partners well and ended up getting to the semis.

As their mentor was fond of saying, "this isn't just a victory for 2866, it is a victory for FIRST". Good job to those that showed true Gracious professionalism in getting their bot up and running!

In other news, 836, the Robobees won the Chesapeake Virtual Competition. Alex, Jon, and Raymond edged out Tim, Joe, and Franklin of 2483, the Clawbotz after a hard fought 8-team 24 player virtual tournament using 5th Gear.

To add to this cool story, they just had bad luck upon bad luck that suddenly turned into awesome luck coupled with great skill at Chesapeake. I know they also had a Driver Station that survived the flood that then died after its buttons broke and a port pulled out.

I for one am most happy that we will be seeing them again next year.

Re: 2009 Chesapeake Regional

Thank you Chesapeake for being such wonderful hosts. I'd like to thank Team 75 for a great social (I'm one of the "old guys" who couldn't help but dance), and the USNA for being such tolerant and gracious hosts. The venue logistics worked out well, and the volume was appropriate throughout the event.

We are honored that the Chesapeake judges saw fit to award us with Website, Imagery and especially Chairman's award. We look forward to carrying the Chesapeake flag on to chairman's finals in Atlanta.

It was an altogether fun regional and I saw just example after example of Gracious Professionalism on and off the field.

4 generations of Needels doing hi-fives at Chesapeake.
We missed Greg, but Andy did an awesome job on the mike.
