Power source at the player station

Guys I feel so dumb posting this, but I need to ask because I cant explicitly find it anywhere in the competition rulebook.

At the player station were provided with one 120v outlet right?

Anyway thanks for your patience.

Re: Power source at the player station

no...theres no outlets to plug anything in....

just the eathernet cable and competition power cable for the drivers station...

so all other devices(eg..laptops) will have to be battery powered...

Re: Power source at the player station

No, there is no AC power available at the player station. From section 8 of the manual:
Quote:
<R81> Teams are permitted to connect a portable computing device (Laptop computer, PDAs, etc.) to either of the Ethernet ports on the Driver Station for the purpose of displaying feedback from the ROBOT while participating in competition MATCHES. Portable computing devices may only connect to the Driver Station through one of the Ethernet ports – they shall not connect to the Driver Station through any other port. Portable computing devices may only connect to the Driver Station – they must not directly connect to any ARENA ports or equipment. Please note that AC power will not be available at the playing field so these devices will have to run on internal batteries.
Power for the Driver Station is provided through the 9-pin competition port.

Re: Power source at the player station

And please don't plug in your power adapter at the field. Apparently it shuts down the field on that side...

Your competition cable, however, must be in.
