Re: FRC in Germany?

Two DoDDS-E schools will compete in the Las Vega Regional FIRST Robotics Contest. In January, each high school was given a box of raw materials and six weeks to engineer and construct a sophisticated robot to play a game of moon ball (Lunacy). This is a huge event attracting tens of thousands of students from around the world. We’re the only teams competing from Germany and Belgium and there is over $9 million in scholarships at stake. This is not a DoDDS sponsored event and we had to raise all funds and jump through a lot of necessary hoops to participate. That’s a lot of chilidogs and community support my friend and we really appreciate it!

Our team numbers are 2037 and 3011 and you can watch us in action using your very own computer. So… if you think 120 lb robots smashing into each other (to the sound of loud rock music) might amuse you - - -

Webcasts: You can view the practice, seed, and final rounds of the competition via webcast at

Click on the Las Vegas Regional (March 26th thru the 28th)
• Thursday – 1000 to 1700 Pacific Time (Practice)
• Friday – 0900 to 1630 Pacific Time (Seeding)
• Saturday – 0930 to 1615 Pacific Time (Finals)
