Question for Michigan Teams about FedEx Shipping

A document from First of Michigan said

"However, teams may use their FedEx free shipping to the FIRST Championship because there is an extra weekend between the State Championship and Atlanta."

Did any Michigan team receive the two Airway bills in a FedEx envelope as a part of their Kit of Parts? I thought Michigan teams don't get them because we put ours in a sealed bag and carry them to each district events. I went to the kickoff at Novi and I don't recall receiving the Airway Bills. They say in the manual that those Airway Bills are not replaceable. Can somebody help?

Ed

Re: Question for Michigan Teams about FedEx Shipping

My best advise would be to have you call FIRST directly and asking them what's up.

Re: Question for Michigan Teams about FedEx Shipping

You're a rookie team, right? If the airbills are made out by team, you won't get them until you qualify for Atlanta; rookies are excluded from open registration and therefore must qualify. In this case, qualify through Michigan. Unless, of course, you're competing out of state, which opens up some other questions.

Definitely talk to FIRST, but you're likely to get a similar answer.

Re: Question for Michigan Teams about FedEx Shipping

I spoke with Pamela from FIRST in Michigan about shipping to Atlanta after Ypsilanti. She stated that the shipping labels will be on hand at the Michigan Championship for distribution to teams that qualify.

If you qualify, go nuts, get the labels and waybill, truck your robot back home, crate it and ship it to Atlanta - then go nuts again in Atlanta!
