If you want individual webcasts, I'm not sure, as I use Gameday and pick the ones I like. |

Can anybody at the event post updates? The webcast is dead. I mean dead--all day.

Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
Thanks to 2445 and 2932 for being a great alliance, we had a great time playing with you guys. You guys were great.
Congrats to 2348, 368, and 2443; you guys are very deserving of the win. Also, congratulations to 359 on Chairman's once again, see you in Atlanta. We were very happy to adopt members of 1920 whose robot did not show up to the event and enjoyed having them on our drive team and helping out in our pit. Also, we were very impressed with the caliber of the rookies and second year teams here. Great job everybody! |

Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
Congrats everyone!
We are so proud to see many of the 2nd year Hawaii teams improve vastly in competition play. 2090, 2504, and 2348: I was very impressed with you all. Your inspiration inspires us even more. 2348, 192, and 368 all played well! I've watched a lot of webcasts this season and have been to 3 regionals. 368 has by far the BEST shooter I have seen this season. This was their 1st regional, and their driving was very very good. With no practice, they always seem to pull it off. Hope to see them in Atlanta as the University of Hawaii Engineering Dept. has graciously offered to pay each team (3 regional winners and the CA) $5,000 to cover the entrance fee! All 4 of us looks like will be attending. Thanks to 192 for picking us with the 1st pick. Supercells can REALLY affect matches. On a side note: We had the luxury of meeting up with Bart Kamen and his mom at the event..........as he reviewed the CA entries. What a treat and great advise. SEEEE YOUUUUU IN ATLANTA!! ![]() |

Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
On behalf of everyone on Team 2348, I would like to thank all our supporters as well as all the other teams for being great partners and/or rivals. As this is our second year, we learned a lot from every team and made us reflect a lot on our own strengths and weaknesses. In any case, we would like to congratulate all the teams for their outstanding performance in all aspects of the 2009 FIRST game and would like to wish them good luck on any future endeavours, especially if they are going to Atlanta to compete in the World Championships.

Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
Thank you all for a wonderful regional! For obvious reasons, I and the entire Team 2348 thoroughly enjoyed this year's event. However, there were many factors and support that helped us with our success this year.
So allow me to thank: -Our mentors, one of which who actually thought of the helix concept one day before it appeared on the internet and another who has been very involved with FRC since 2000; -Our sponsors who graciously provide the necessary funding; -1726 for providing proof of concept and all the youtube videos during build season; -Our alliance partners, 368 and 2443, who all playing extremely well during the elimination matches; -The Hawaii Regional Chairman Award recipients, 359, for paving the way for Hawaii teams (well deserved!) and their coach for allowing me to learn how to coach an alliance; -and 2437 for lending us the battery box for our crate (we never had to ship our batteries). Finally, congratulations to all of the all of the award recipients! |

Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
We'll see... depends upon if we can raise the remaining thousands necessary to get us there. Otherwise, hopefully our robot has fun in Atlanta without us.
Thanks to our partners 2348 and 2443 - you were both awesome! Good job again to 359 for their CA as well... didn't need to worry! A much deserved congratulations to Aaron Dengler of 2090 on the Woodie Flowers award. You do so much for the growth of robotics in Hawaii that people don't realize. Thanks also to our international attendees - hope it was a blast. Thanks for the cultural performances today as well as last night at the team social. For a cool time lapse of most of the field assembly, take a look here courtesy of Governor Lingle's site which includes a link to hundreds of photos of the regional. They didn't get the end of the field assembly in the time lapse since it had to be sent out to the local news stations for the early evening broadcasts. Congratulations again to all on a great regional! A special thanks to those who volunteered, to those teams who donated students to help with various tasks, and to great workers like Andy Baker and Mark Koors in addition to all of the folks from BAE. Re: 2009 Hawaii Regional
Hey guys (368,2348,2443). I'm the programmer from 2090 and I just wanted to say that it has been an honor to compete with you all. Even though we lost I still feel like a winner and I can't think of anyone better to loose to than your alliance
.Seriously this was the most fun I've had at any regional ever. The dancing, the laughing, the cheering, and all the new people made it an experience I'll remember for the rest of my life. As a senior headed for a mainland college I'm not going to have much of a chance to participate with 2090 or any of the other teams next year and I'm just so happy to have gone out in such a high standing. All of the teams at the regional showed great spirit and aloha. I know we always talk about gracious professionalism and loosing/winning with it but... and I know this sounds corny... I think for once all of us really were winners. Thanks to: All of the teams who participated. A special shout out to team 192 who saved our program (and then gave us this awesome trophy after we beat them in semis). All of the mentors. The volunteers (Especially fellow students who helped out). Last edited by ranman96734 : 29-03-2009 at 05:33. |
