Archimedes wants the nation's high score!

Well.. at least we'd like to see it!

So our divisional friends.. what do you say we do it.. we've got the most regional champs/finalists after all, why can't we?

Archimedes throw out your ideas.. do we wanna balance two every match? Do we want to meet before practice rounds to ensure we all get the most practice.. does the sets of 12 going out each time wanna met up before to come up w/ some general consensus as to what our various combinations can accomplish?

It would help us greatly towards seeing the highest score for 2k1 come out of are division..

So what does Archimedes think?

Well, this member of Archimedes knows that she'd do anything to help the division get the high score...I think it would really boost spirits all around.

To all members of Arch: Please don't forget to scout again! Don't rely on your regional data! With proper info we can really figure out how to do the best we possibly can!

Alot of teams have had another month to practice (we built a practice robot, abd have a full sized practice field). We also had the missfortune of not making our practice rounds @ UTC... that hurt our status alot among scouts.

RAGE is capable of ballancing a goal (off the ramp), going under the bar, supporting the bridge, and putting a large ball ontop of the goal...all to help a high scoring alliance.

Definitely re-scout!

Since UTC, T190 has made some major enhancements.. as well.. we've made other adjustments since Long Island..

Stop by our pits, we'll have flyers to hand out and will gladly speak to any inquistive Archimedes friends

I will probably be coming around to all of the Archimedes teams' pits on Thursday morning. I hope to give everyone a "heads up" on our robot and what we do so it is easier to formulate strategies in the short time before a match. If the right combinations occur, I think our division can get the high score.

As for us - we plan to have both goals balanced at the end of every match. For the teams that are in Archimedes that aren't familiar with our robot, here is some scouting info:

All we do is handle goals. Our strength is that we balance two goals from the ground and get in the endzone. We have a bridge balance sensor so, unless the mechanism gets damaged, we always know when the bridge is balanced before backing away. We balance in one attempt, quite quickly. Once the goals are lined up, we all but guarantee that they are balanced at the end of the match. A photo of us balancing at a competition is shown below.

As a side note, we finally got a good amount of driving practice in after Great Lakes. We made our process even quicker than it used to be. Also, in practice we balanced on the first attempt 25 straight times without dumping the goals. With this in mind, it is our goal to have the goals balanced in every match.

Good luck, everyone!

-Chris

Two of the teams that got to 710pts are in the Archimedes Division (234 & 111). I just don't know how nany more points can be scored in the amount of time that we are dealing with. We'll try anyways!!

Hey, everybody, were in the Archimedes Div. and are ready and prepared to share data and ideas. Out bot is a double goal balancer and we held the 1 seed at the Lone Star Regionals After the first day and we ended up seeding third in the end . We are reliable and ready to assist in stratgizing so our DIV. can claim the high score. If anyone would like anymore info on our bot and our team please visit our site below.

Hi Colleen,

Our team (312)has been relatively quiet since our win a KSC. Team 312 is ready to help our Archimedes division team members. I was please to see that our partners from the KSC finals 343, 57, and 538 are in our division along with many other excellent teams. I would like to provide our division members with ACCURATE data regarding our robot. Our robot can very effectively switch gears making us very fast or very powerful. From the start position, we go over the bridge to the other side in 5-7 seconds. We can easily and quickly load big balls on the goal, grab the goal and balance one goal on the bridge from the floor in less than 40 seconds. If needed, we can hook both goals to our robot and balance, however this maneuver is not part of our major scoring strategy. We can push both goals and balance the bridge (from the floor) preferably with a partner who moves the starting side goal over the bridge. We did not have the opportunity to perform this task at KSC. My driver and arm operator are very experienced (this is their 2nd season). Finally, no matter which teams are allied with us, we plan to complete all of our matches in less than 60 seconds. These are the HONEST facts regarding our robot's abilities. I hope this helps my alliance partners to be.

You are the ONLY 4-member alliance not broken up among the divisions...everyone else has no more than 3.
