Re: Great Human Player in 2009

The Payload Specialist on 1241 was very very dynamic.
He would jump over the shield and shoot downward on the goals to get the balls in before the robots could get away. Teams started staying good and far away from him after a while.
The Payload specialist for 103, Shauna from 1511 and 188 also stick out as well as Antione for my team who got alot of compliments not only for his skill but for his smart penalty free play.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

It's hard to tell over the internet, so of the 3 regionals I attended, I found 177's human player to be the best I've seen so far.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

Ben from 340 was insane with super cells at FLR. Much of our elimination strategy depended on them, and he didn't disappoint.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

The human player from 2638 was ridiculous. He probably scored around 50 points a game (at least 1 Super Cell per game) each time he was on the field for finals.

Team 1098 shooter is from the programming team and shoots 90%+ and got all 4 super cells. He is a freshman and did a lot for our team, in fact team 16 gave him an award for his play at the St Louis Regional.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

The kid on 2377 (C Company) was scarily good at Chesapeake, sinking probably 85% of shots from the fueling station to a trailer at the outpost. 40's human player is also extremely good.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

Our human player from 2075 almost always was throwing from the opponents side of the field, and on multiple occasions the opposing alliance would tell each other to play on the other side of the field, the further side from there driver station out of fear of him.

A team walked up and asked "Our team scouting data says that your human player shoots 100%, is this true?"

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

The best I've seen in person so far has been the human player from 175. He was definitely the most consistent at both BAE and CT.

at VCU the human players from team 88 and 975 were probably the best two there.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

Team 270 had a decent Human Player, Team 271 had a pretty reliable one. Team 2161 had a beast human player. he scored a super cell form cross field and kept us in the quarter final match.

Re: Great Human Player in 2009

Team 231's human player performed quite well at the LSR. He made 6 out of the 7 supercell's he got and the only one he missed was a desperation shot at the end of are quarterfinal's match. This year the human player can play a HUGE role in the matches.

177 Also had an amazing human player, he consistently hit long range shots. That combined with their robot's fast and consistent empty cell capabilities makes them a serious threat.

Yeah, 175's human player was pretty spectacular at BAE. 40's human player was pretty impressive too.
