Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
Does anyone know when the rest of the Connecticut Regional footage will be available? Currently only the first day of matches is up on TBA.

I used avidemux on linux. I'm not sure what people use on windows, but if possible, it would be best to keep it as mp4 and avoid transcoding to wmv. |

AVIsynth and FFDShow allow meGUI to work with different types of media and should both be installed before meGUI. After installing AVIsynth and ffdshow you can install meGUI. The first time you run meGui you will need to create a worker under the Worker menu. I also recommend checking the "Autostart Queue" under Options->Settings. My parsing procedure is to open the video using the meGUI File->Open. If the video is not directly compatible with meGUI this automatically opens a dialog to create an AVISynth script. I crop here if necessary and then save the script. You can also deinterlace during this step if necessary by setting the source type to Interlaced and checking the Deinterlace box on the "Filters" tab. Next I open AVS Cutter from the Tools menu and select the newly created AVS file. Find the beginning of the desired clip in the window and click "Zone Start" find the end of the clip and click "Zone End", then click Set to set the zone. Repeat for the score if desired. After your desired cuts are set click "Do All and Close" in the non-video window. I am not very familiar with encoder settings so mine might not be ideal, but I set the video to "x264: CE-Baseline". In the "Cuts" section of the audio select the .clt file that corresponds to the video you are editing. For Audio Encoder I use "Nero AAC: NDAAC - iPod - Good". Click AutoEncode and set the Average Bitrate to 1000kbits/s. Then rinse and repeat. Last edited by Vikesrock : 30-03-2009 at 19:41. |

Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
I'm the weak link in the Peachtree/Lonestar video chain. I've been unexpectedly busy at work, and this week I'll be packing up house for a big move saturday. I should be able to get to things early next week.
I don't think uploading my unparsed video is quite as practical as for some people, as it's stupid high quality so I can do a decent job deinterlacing it and still have something useful to compress down to the TBA format and a set of larger MPGs for teams to use for their own purposes. |

Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
Wisconsin has been digitized and will be sent around for parsing this evening. I'm hoping to get all files uploaded by the end of the weekend.

Apparently, Colorado School of Mines has an archive of Colorado somewhere, but I can't find it. I'll continue searching, but it is there.

Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
I appreciate Team 48 for archiving and streaming the regional, but I pray that next season, they don't use FLV. It's a huge hassle. I've yet to find a good program (commercial or free) that can successfully convert the files. Had it been another standard, Buckeye would be up by now.
Anyway, I'm probably just going to upload them somewhere soon. |

Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
umm big lets leave it at that lol...
Now I know why they came out with Terabyte drives I didn't have time to scale back the quality since I was busy doing WPA / Spare Parts and Field Related work. NJ (Sat) 15.6GB WMV Format ROC (Thu, Fri & Sat) 30GB Total WMV Format If you can scale back the quality you'll def. get a smaller file size but I'm hardly home to really "sit" with it or to just set it and forget it. Re: Archiving Regionals Video 2009
I've been running FTP uploads and torrents at nights recently. I'll probably do these tonight.
