Alex, I would be glad to have Shark Attack, I expect you to be in the first two rounds.

Aye, I expect 744 to be very high up there. We're remaking our shooter based upon what we saw on your bot, plus a specific feature of our bot we want to keep .

I suspect that 67 wasn't in the first couple of picks only because there are several CA picks to get through first.

Or because we think the robots we picked are better... The RCA is a very nice added bonus.

Is there a new scoring system with division awards? And why should a RCA count, because it is still a slim 1 in 40 (?) chance that they will win the National, or does Regional factor into points still?

It's just that the RCA gives a chance to get it at championships. So picking teams like 217 that are on the same level of play as 67 and have that 1-40 shot are better than just having a good team with no shot at CA.

Ah, yes. I forgot about that. As we are using last year's system, and it worked, here it is, for reference.

Scoring values:

Standard seeding points and W-L-T record points, all others as shown


5......Quarter finalists - Division
10....Semifinalists - Division
15....Finalists - Division
25....Divisional Winners


40.....Finalists - Einstein Field
50.....Winners - Einstein Field

80.....Chairmans - Nationals
45.....Engineering Inspiration Award - Nationals
25.....Rookie All-Star
20.....Rookie Inspiration
15......Woodie Flowers/Judges


10.......Highest score / Highest Rookie Seed
25 points for a robot based award
