Go to Post One last thing, if a mechanical part fails on you, sometimes you can get a little bit of noise back into it by yelling at it, kicking it, or pounding on it with your fist. This might put enough back into it so it will work for a few more minutes. - KenWittlief [more]

Thanks to team 904 for being a good alliance partner. You did a good job. At least your robot didn't have a major problem. See you in Atlanta.

Re: 904 Michigan State Finalists!

hahah Right on 904. GREAT working with you guys! Even though we didn't make it ALL the way, you and 247 are by far our favorite alliance partners if not favorite teams. Well you are in my book anyway! Cant wait to see you all at Nationals and hopefully be on alliance together once again to DOMINATE the nations best... hahaha congrats and thanks guys.

I was the scorekeeper at MSC. Did you guys figure out what was wrong with your bot in the 2nd finals match? Everything was "green" for your team on the field controller (so your cRio and radio and DS were linked and had power) but we could see that your signal light was not on and you didn't move.

Re: 904 Michigan State Finalists!

Don't laugh.

You know the BIG cable running from the cRIO to the sidecar?? That part that was attached to the sidecar was loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The even funnier part was that you can't screw down that cable into the sidecar! There are screws, but they aren't long enough to actually be effective.

There were small standoffs in the KOP that are used to extend the studs on the Digital Sidecar so you can screw the cable down.

They look like the ones in this image:

4 of them came in the KOP, if you are only using one Digital Sidecar I recommend using the other set on your Driver's Station so you can screw in the serial cable each match. If you can't track them down, I'm sure someone will chime in with a good source to pick some up.
