Question Name of one of the songs played at competitions...

I feel really stupid that I don't know this but at all the competitions there's this one song that they play. There aren't any lyrics, its just sweet bass. I'm not a music guru but perhaps there is one of you out there that can tell me the title of the song? Thanks.

Re: Name of one of the songs played at competitions...

Without some more information I'm not sure if it is the song you are talking about but every year a similar question is asked and the answer is usually:

"Sirius" by the Alan Parsons Project

Find a sound clip on the web somewhere and see if this is the song you are talking about. Search CD for "Alan Parsons" or "Sirius" and see how many times this has come up over the years.

You might have better luck if you can link to a match on TBA where the song is being played.

Is it a identifiable genra?

Is it techno, because there is the one techno song they always play. I'm pretty sure I've heard it at every event I've been to in my 4 years so far. It could be "Sandstorm" by Darude, here's the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSYxT9GM0fQ

Cha Cha Slide.

It's played at every competition at least a dozen times, and there sure isn't much of a melody to it.

Maybe Zombie Nation?

i remember asking this very same question to one of the BEST songs ever played during a finals match... "Explosive" by Bond... did they even play taht during the finals at GTR this year... if they did, I didn't notice it because of the intense competition

Re: Name of one of the songs played at competitions...

I thought Seattle and Oregon did a great job not repeating music. Daft Punk and Darude are both good answers for the OP. Who was right?
