Team 2272's closing video

This year our team had the most fun any team could ever have building a robot. The team took a major step from a small, very dysfunctional team to a very good team, with the confidence that we can do whatever we want to. The team has almost doubled in size. We did not have any luck at our regional, as well as a robot that had a couple of bugs we didn't get fixed in time. All in all the year was great, and we're already gotten started on next year.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOUZ_agPTH0

Oh, and what are we doing in our free time? Building an electric racecar.

The globe and FP drivetrain is really cool, but you are not allowed to use that many FP motors. Did you get away with this at your regional?

Re: Team 2272's closing video

Two years ago I remember you guys at the Los Angeles regional, and knew you guys were an amazing Rookie team with awesome potential. I'm pretty sure you were on our alliance then, and you guys knew what FIRST was all about.

It's so amazing to see how far you've come, and that was an awesome robot this year.

Good luck in the future!

Re: Team 2272's closing video

Can you describe how you went from Crab mode to Snake mode on the user interface?

After driving it, would you pick a different user interface?

Did you drivers have a preference for one mode over another?

Hmmm... wanna race? We still have our electric race cars, well, most of the parts anyway. Electric car racing was big in the day, but as sponsors pulled out, the races died out.

What are the plans for your race car? Any local events or are you going to use it for demonstrations?

We had the modes Crab, Car, Snake, and I think a tank mode that was never used. We had a 6 point switch to choose between the modes during the match. In open space the driver would use car steering, tight spots and turns were usually done in snake mode, and Crab mode was for REALLY tight spots, and getting un-pinned.

Well, we were kind of doing it for fun, and to stay together as a team for the offseason, but I've been looking at places to race it, I think we might drag race it. I don't know how fast your cars are, but I know most of our team would love to drive out to Phoenix if it meant a race!
